I have heard so many times in my career as an owner of a CPA firm “Can’t you just tell me what my business is worth?  You have seen lots of businesses; surely it is easy to value.”  And quite frankly there are those people out there who will reply something like – just take two or three times EBITDA.

Really?  Do you really want an off the cuff response as to how much your business is worth?  Don’t you think it was that easy to develop your company that an all encompassing answer of two or three times EBITDA explains all the value you have developed over those years?
